Wedding Rings

January 8, 2007
After doing much searching for wedding bands that felt right to us, we came across a guy named Jesper Jensen of Jensen Design (here's his website). He makes the most fabulous titanium rings that are actually two independent wholes that become inseparable, just like marriage.

After talking to him we decided to have him design us rings that take the spirit of the celtic knot we've been using for our wedding. Below is the series of events leading to the final rings.

All I can say is, this guy is fabulous. If you ever need ring work done, in any medium (not just titanium), I highly recommend him....

The original knot, a pendant of Jenn's. The knot is the Destiny Shield.

This is one of Jesper's existing rings - we asked him if he could take the style of this ring and somehow integrate the essence of the knot into it.

first drawing attempts - the sketch on the left is the outside frame of one half of the ring.

His first concrete test. Was big and bulky and we had no idea where it was going. We were a bit nervous, but trusted him, and are glad we did!

Second test, less bulky, and he sketched the design onto the ring. Suddenly it's taking shape and looks great!
